Recognized by the US Department of Transportation as a ?National Scenic Byway?, the Talimena Scenic drive was built expressly for its view and the spectacular spring and fall foliage. A gorgeous 54 mile route which spans one of the highest mountain ranges between the Appalachians and the Rockies. One breathtaking panorama follows another as this national scenic byway winds along the crests of forested peaks between Talihina, Oklahoma and Mena, Arkansas.

Directions: Drive begins approx 8 miles N of Talihina on Hwy 271, at junction of Hwy 1.
